Three typescript letters signed by Thomas Lipton on Lipton Limited letterhead. With details of travel.
Expenses etc regarding General Taylor’s son who was to work in Ceylon on a tea plantation and assuring him his son will be well looked after ‘… I have given instructions that he will get a good training in all branches in connection with tea and his success in the future will depend entirely on himself.
The final letter dated 28th March 1899 ‘… I had the honour of lunching with HRH Princess Christian last Wednesday at Lady Jeune’s and she talked to me privately regarding yourself….’ The letter goes on to talk about the possibility of further business in the West Indies.
