Typescript letter on 10 Downing Street letterhead signed in ink ‘Winston Churchill’. The letter requesting the King to submit his approval that the dignity of Barony of the United Kingdom be conferred upon Frederick James Leathers Esq, dated 1st May 1941.
Photograph of Winston Churchill and Anthony Eden. Original press photograph description verso ‘Meeting of Allied Statesmen at St James Palace. At the end of the meeting the King called and met the statesmen’. This image titled ‘Mr Winston Churchill has a word with Mr. Anthony Eden. 12/6/41’.
The photograph is inscribed verso’ 1988. For John Lawford from Nicholas Lawford [who was there as A.E’s Private Secretary]’. Framed and mounted.
