London: John Van Voorst 1873, 1st edition. xxiii, 384p, [5]p of reviews and notices, frontis, illustrated, 35 hand- coloured plates. Some foxing mainly on endpapers, a few spots elsewhere but text generally clean, p8/9 has chips along the fore edge margin. The plates are very clean with the odd finger mark and spot. 205 mm, bound in the original green cloth with gilt notornis and titles, some wear to corners, and edges. A nice copy.
