A fine 19th century copy of one the artist’s most famous genre paintings.
It was first recorded in Paris in 1737. Described by Waagen as ‘A choice example of the very peculiar contrasts and harmony of colours which give Murillo’s pictures such a magical effect.’
The original is in the Dulwich Gallery Picture Gallery, London.
