Brought into England in the Year 1774 by Tobias Furneaux Commander of his Majesty’s Sloop Adventure
London: Publish’d according to Act of Parlt. 25th October 1774.
Etching and stipple engraving after N. Dance, 530 x 310mm. Framed to plate mark in period frame.
Full length portrait of Omai [also known as Mai], he is shown carrying the wooden pillow-stool now in the Musée de Tahiti et des Îles. With a feathered circlet and tattooed hands.
