London: Henry Sotheran & Sons 1897, first edition. xviii, 224 pages,185p text and full page illus mostly by the author, 8 by Sidney Steel, 2 by E.Roe, 10 electro engraved and coloured frontis by the author and Sidney Steel, and a series of unpublished sketches by Sir Edwin Landseer. Sewing loose and some pages fraying at edges and detached, top edge gilt, armorial bookplate Quintin Dick Dick to front endpaper. Folio [400mm], pictorial brown buckram with black illustration and titles, cloth splitting along hinges and wear at hinges and edges.
