Some foxing and finger-marks, short tear in margin, unmounted. A man washing his clothes in the foreground of a view of Otago Harbour. Food storage platforms (whata) and Maori and European dwellings to the left with sailing ships in the harbour. The view is of Dunedin before organised settlement in 1840, during the visit of the Astrolabe and the Zelee under the command of Dumont d'Urville.
