PLEASE NOTE: The buyer’s premium for this auction is 19% of the hammer price plus GST on the buyer’s premium (total of 21.85% of the hammer price). This is to be paid on top of any successful bid. The buyer must pay the full amount due not later than 5 days after the auction date.
The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition (some items may have a very short damage description or may be described with "AF", which means “all faults”). The estimates always reflect the condition of a lot. All property is sold “as is” without warranty of any kind by art+object. Bidders who are unable to inspect the items in person are welcome to request additional information at: info@artandobject.co.nz or 093544646.
Packing and courier options are available at buyer’s risk and expense. We’ll be in touch after the auction to arrange.
The link to our full Terms and Conditions can be found on the app menu or at the bottom of each page on the desktop website. We would recommend that first time and/or overseas bidders familiarise themselves with our Conditions, especially with our SUBJECT BIDS practice (point no. 11, which stands also for timed-online auctions).
Art+Object’s second New Collectors and Studio Ceramics auction of 2024 will be held on Tuesday 14 May.
Recent consignments include works by Robin White, Terry Stringer, Sam Mitchell, Laurence Aberhart, and Gavin Hipkins. We are also pleased to offer a good selection of New Zealand and international studio ceramics, including the collection of Maureen Yee, sister of the late Auckland architect Ron Sang. Over the years, Ron passed on to Maureen his great love of pottery by well known Kiwi potters and she has assembled this collection over the past 30 years. Now downsizing in her 80’s, Maureen wants her pots to have new owners to appreciate their beauty. The collection includes works by Len Castle, Ray Rogers, and Graeme Storm.
This is a timed online auction, which will begin closing with lot 1 from 6pm on Tuesday 14 May. Thereafter, lots will close consecutively every 15 seconds, until completion. If a lot receives a bid within the last two minutes, it will auto-extend until no further bids are placed, without holding up the rest of the auction.
If you have any questions about the auction or to request condition reports, please contact us: 093544646 or info@artandobject.co.nz.
