Murray 1807. viii, 110p, lacking the portrait frontis of Tiarrah, 2 plates [one hand coloured], [1] l., of errata and directions to the binder. 210mm, in the original contemporary papered boards with leather spine and corners. Ex Diocesan School copy and with the signature of Willoughby Shortland & dated 1839. The first account devoted entirely to New Zealand.
Shortland was New Zealand's first Colonial Secretary from 1841, after having arrived in New Zealand with Lieutenant Governor William Hobson in January 1840.
