The Viking
photograph, signed lower right, in contemporary wood frame 300 x 380 mm. ‘Viking’ was built by Charles Bailey Jnr for G.L.R Blomfield of the N.Z. Yacht Squadron and launched in December 1893. In 1920 she was purchased by Sir Ernest Davis who later presented her to the Royal N.Z. Navy for training officers and men under sail.
