together with some account of the south sea Islands. London: Murray 1870. x, [1]l., 375p, 32p of publishers adverts. Colour frontis & plates, illustrations, lacking maps & pages 167/168 & and 169/170. Book had been re-cased into the original binding and has foxing and finger marks.
Inscribed on the front endpaper to W.G. Mair by the author and tipped in is a letter to Gilbert Mair from R.H. Meade ‘... The portion relating to the journey to L. Taupo which he undertook with you will interest you. Sincerely R.H. Meade’.
