Note: The skeletal vessel form was created to cast delicate reflections on water. The work is based on the leaf of the New Zealand native Lacebark, Houhere, a tree prized by M?ori for the healing properties of its leaves, flowers and bark. This work emphasizes the need to heal the relationship between humanity and the natural environment.
One of three artworks conceived for the New Zealand Garden at Chelsea Flower Show in 2006. This series of works was supported by Connells Bay Centre for Sculpture.
